Tea Tree Oil – Pure Melaleuca alternifolia, Steam Distilled at Our India Factory

Few essential oils have earned the kind of global trust that Tea Tree Oil has — not through marketing, but through decades of documented performance in skincare, wound care, household cleaning, and natural wellness. Its crisp, medicinal, camphoraceous scent is instantly recognizable. Its antimicrobial effectiveness is backed by more research than almost any other essential oil. And genuine Melaleuca alternifolia — properly distilled and fully documented — remains one of the most practically useful botanical ingredients available to formulators, practitioners, and home users worldwide.

We manufacture this oil ourselves at our factory in India. Steam distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, every batch comes with full documentation — Certificate of Analysis, MSDS, SDS. Direct from our factory to you, no reseller in between, in sizes from a 10ml retail sample through to 100kg bulk orders and custom volumes beyond.

Why Documentation Matters for Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree Oil is one of the most adulterated essential oils in global trade. Its high commercial demand and relatively premium price create strong economic incentives for dilution with synthetic terpenes or cheaper carrier oils. The key quality marker in genuine Melaleuca alternifolia is terpinen-4-ol content — the primary active compound responsible for the oil's antimicrobial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. Quality Tea Tree Oil should show terpinen-4-ol content of 30% or above on GC-MS analysis, with 1,8-cineole below 15%.

The Scent Profile

Pure Tea Tree Oil is fresh, medicinal, and camphoraceous — with a clean, slightly spicy quality that is immediately recognizable. It is not a subtle or complex perfume note — it is a functional scent that communicates effectiveness. In a skincare product or cleaning formulation, it signals genuine antimicrobial activity. In a diffuser, it clears the air and the airways. In a topical application, it tells the skin something therapeutic is happening.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Tea Tree Oil?

Tea Tree Oil is steam distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia — one of the most extensively researched essential oils in the world. Its powerful antimicrobial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties make it a foundational ingredient in natural skincare, wound care, household cleaning, and personal care manufacturing across the globe.

What is terpinen-4-ol and why should I check it?

Terpinen-4-ol is the primary active compound in Tea Tree Oil — responsible for its antimicrobial and antifungal effectiveness. Genuine quality oil should contain 30% or above. Our COA and GC-MS reports confirm this figure for every batch. If a supplier cannot show you terpinen-4-ol content, you cannot verify what you are actually buying.

High Quality Oil

Locally you can buy Tea Tree Oil from any essential oils market or health food store. You can also buy an oil called Melaleuca which is Tea Tree Oil that is much stronger than most Tea Tree Oils you can buy. This Tea Tree Oil is STRONG like the Melaleuca brand Tea Tree Oil. This can be used topically rubbed on the back and chest to help with pneumonia or bronchitis. You can also add pine oil to this. Then, for a child, give them a good 5 minute thumping on their back. Do this every 2 to 3 hours until its gone. Giving them a spoon of celery juice with mild garlic just before the rub will double the results. Warning: be cautious of allergic reactions to either oil. Using it this often will cause irritation and a mild rash but its better than pneumonia.
