Jasmine Sambac Concrete – Natural Jasminum sambac Flower Extract
Our Jasmine Sambac Concrete is a concentrated natural aromatic material obtained from fresh Jasminum sambac flowers through solvent extraction. This process captures both the fragrant components of the flowers and their natural waxes, producing a rich, semi-solid material used primarily in professional fragrance development.
The aroma is deep and recognisably jasmine, with sweet floral, green and mildly fruity notes followed by warm, waxy and naturally indolic undertones. Compared with Jasmine Sambac Absolute, the concrete has a heavier texture and retains more of the natural waxy character of the flowers.
Jasmine Sambac Concrete is not a steam-distilled essential oil. It is also not the same as Jasmine Sambac Absolute, which requires an additional alcohol-refining stage to separate much of the wax from the concrete.

Its rich floral character works well with rose, tuberose, ylang-ylang, sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver, citrus oils and other floral or woody materials.
Because concrete contains natural plant waxes, it may not dissolve clearly in every perfume or cosmetic base. Formulators should carry out small solubility and compatibility trials before using it in commercial production. Where a clearer, alcohol-soluble jasmine material is required, Jasmine Sambac Absolute may be more suitable.
Concrete and Absolute: What Is the Difference?
Jasmine Sambac Concrete is the first concentrated aromatic material obtained after solvent extraction of the flowers. It contains fragrance compounds together with natural flower waxes, giving it a thick or semi-solid texture.
Jasmine Sambac Absolute is made by further processing the concrete with alcohol and removing much of the wax. The absolute is generally more suitable for alcohol-based fine fragrances, while the concrete is useful in selected fragrance, wax-based and further-processing applications.
Storage and Handling
Keep the container tightly closed and store it in a cool, dry place protected from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Its consistency may change with temperature. If the material becomes too firm to handle, allow the sealed container to warm gradually to a suitable working temperature.
Always use clean, dry equipment when transferring the material. Do not apply the undiluted concrete directly to the skin. The final usage level must be determined by a qualified formulator according to the batch SDS, applicable IFRA guidance and the regulations of the country where the finished product will be sold.
