Frankincense Essential Oil Recipes (How To Use):

Anti-Stress Blend

4 drops frankincense
4 drops marjoram
6 drops geranium
6 drops clary sage
4 drops orange

Face Mask

This mask helps to draw out impurities while leaving your skin soft and supple.
Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons bentonite clay
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon of raw honey
  • 3 drops of frankincense oil
  • 2 drops of lavender

Mix everything together. Add a little water if necessary. Apply to your face and leave on for fifteen minutes. Rinse with warm water and follow up with a moisturiser such as organic coconut oil.

Frankincense Oil Safety Advice 

Frankincense Oil is generally safe essential oil, there are no reported serious side effects of using frankincense oil, as long as you do not ingest large quantities, which can result in it becoming toxic. When taking frankincense oil internally, it's best to dilute a drop in an edible carrier oil (like coconut oil), a teaspoon of honey or a glass of purified water or any non-acidic, non-dairy beverage.

Rarely frankincense oil can cause certain reactions for some people, including minor skin rashes and digestive problems like nausea or stomach pains. Frankincense is also known to have blood-thinning effects, so anyone who has problems related to blood clotting should not use frankincense oil or should speak with a doctor first. Otherwise, the oil may have potential to negatively react with certain anticoagulant medications.
