Blue Lotus Hydrosol – Pure Nymphaea caerulea Floral Water
Our Blue Lotus Hydrosol is a pure floral water produced by steam-distilling the flowers of Nymphaea caerulea. During distillation, steam passes through the flowers and carries their delicate, water-compatible aromatic components. After condensation, the resulting floral water is carefully collected and packed without adding synthetic fragrance, alcohol or preservatives.
This is a genuine steam-distilled hydrosol. It is not Blue Lotus Essential Oil, Blue Lotus Absolute or fragrance oil. Its aroma is naturally much softer than an absolute, with delicate floral, watery and mildly green notes. Because it is a natural flower distillate, slight differences in aroma, colour and clarity may occur between batches.

Is Blue Lotus Hydrosol the same as Blue Lotus Absolute?
No. Hydrosol is the floral water obtained through steam distillation. Blue Lotus Absolute is a concentrated aromatic material produced using solvent extraction. The hydrosol has a much lighter and more delicate aroma.
Why is its aroma mild?
A genuine hydrosol naturally has a soft aroma because it contains the water-compatible aromatic components collected during distillation. It should not smell as strong as an absolute or fragrance oil.
Can it be used directly on the skin?
