With my biochemistry professor we performed GC-MS analysis of this sandalwood oil and discovered that it contain 47% alfa-santalol and 20% beta santalol and 43 more minor components including santalens, bergamotol, nuciferol, lanceol and e.c.
According to International Standart (ISO 3518) this sandalwood oil can be classified as a highest quality sandalwood, because high quality sandalwood oil of Santalum album contain 41-55% alfa santalols and 16-24% beta santalols.
